Roles and Responsibilities

Nate joined GROW Licking County in December 2015.  As Executive Director,  Nate serves as the primary point of contact for business and industry attraction and expansion inquiries about Licking County as well as the County's representative for activities related to the region's Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC).

 

Recognitions

Named by the Newark Advocate as a "20 Under 40" for 2016

 

Professional Affiliations

Nate is an active member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), previously serving on the Young Professional Advisory Committee.  Within the State of Ohio, Nate serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Mid-Ohio Development Exchange (MODE) and joined the Ohio Economic Development Association (OEDA) Board of Directors in 2020.

 

Community Involvement

Nate is a member of the Young Leaders of Licking County and serves on the Board of Directors for the Licking County Coalition for Housing serving as chair of the organization's tax credit housing committee. 

 

A major highlight of Nate's volunteering in Licking County saw him participate in the inaugural Dancing with the Newark Stars, a charity fundraiser to support the Licking County Coalition for Care.

 

Past Experience

Prior to joining GROW Licking County, Nate worked in the Pittsburgh region, first as a Business Development Specialist for Allegheny County Economic Development and then as a Project Manager for the Regional Industrial Development Corp. of Southwestern Pennsylvania (RIDC).  Prior to his work in Pittsburgh, Nate served as Zoning Administrator/Planner for the City of Zanesville.

 

Education

Nate is currently pursuing his Masters of Public Administration from the Voinovich School of Public Policy and Leadership at Ohio University.  Nate received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Speech Communication from Muskingum University and in 2015, obtained his Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification from the National Development Council.

Roles and Responsibilities

Stephanie joined GROW Licking County in the in 2020.  As Assistant Director, Stephanie manages GROW's commercial real estate competitiveness through her work in data management as well assists with GROW's Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) program and foreign direct investment strategy.

 

Past Experience

Prior to joining GROW Licking County, Stephanie served as Project Management Specialist overseeing site selection and real estate inventory for One Columbus (formerly Columbus 2020).

 

Professional Affiliations

Stephanie is an active member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).  Additionally, Stephanie is a member of the Ohio Economic Development Association (OEDA) and previously was a member of NAIOP of Central Ohio.

 

Education

Stephanie has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from University of Cincinnati and is currently pursuing her Ohio Certified Economic Developer creditial through the Ohio Economic Development Institute (OEDI).
