Last month, GROW Licking County staff hosted the annual Investor Breakfast, providing updates on the organization’s current initiatives. The topics covered included business retention and expansion, business attraction, marketing, workforce development, infrastructure, and housing.

In recent years, many companies have faced challenges when it comes to attracting and retaining employees. GROW partners with other local organizations to promote and develop a strong workforce in Licking County.

Licking County’s manufacturing industry continues to grow. From 2017 to 2022, manufacturing jobs in Licking County grew by 12%. This growth is attributed to expansions of existing businesses and the siting of new manufacturing operations, bringing quality opportunities and higher-paying jobs to our local workforce.

On May 16th, GROW Licking County, Licking County Area Transportation Study (LCATS), and the Licking County Transportation Improvement District (TID) hosted the first annual Licking County Infrastructure Luncheon. This sold-out event featured presentations from planning and engineering experts on recent and ongoing studies that look to address current infrastructure needs while preparing for future growth.

In honor of Women’s History Month, we are highlighting seven local female leaders in Licking County. These women sat down with GROW Licking County to share their stories and professional experiences in hopes to inspire the next generation of women entering the workforce.

From paint production, to dairy product manufacturing, to one of the largest advanced recycling facilities in the world, Licking County saw several expansion and attraction announcements in 2022.

Licking County is home to many career opportunities in STEM fields. GROW Licking County had the opportunity to sit down with several women in STEM making a difference right here in Licking County.
